AAWSG members are encouraged to volunteer in the
society's activities by joining one of these
committees:
STANDING
COMMITTEES

Membership The Membership Committee is responsible
for building
and maintaining a strong membership program
for the organization . The Committee also
provides orientation for the new members.

Public
Relations The Public Relations Committee is responsible
for
developing a program with the aim of achieving
public
recognition for the organization, its programs
and services.

EDUCATIONAL COMMITTEES
- Arab World
Resources
The Arab World Resources Committee is responsible
for developing teaching aids about the Arab
World, the Arab Americans, and the Arab culture,
for use as educational tools for students,
teachers and the general public.
- Children's
Program
The Children Programs Committee is responsible
for coordinating children's activities that
promote Arab and American cultural values
within an educational frame.
- Cultural
Events
The Cultural Events Committee is responsible
for arranging educational exhibits about the
Arab world and the Arab culture to be viewed
by the general public during society sponsored
cultural events, or during the international
festivals sponsored by local schools, universities,
or other educational institutions.

Enrichment
Programs The Enrichment Programs Committee is responsible
for developing an enrichment program for the
members of the society mainly by coordinating
a series of lectures and/or activities for
the General Assembly meetings.

Youth
Programs The Youth Programs Committee is responsible
for coordinating youth activities that promote
Arab and American cultural values within an
educational and charitable frame

FUNCTIONAL COMMITTEES

Communications
The Communications Committee is responsible
for assisting with telephone and e-mail communication
between the Executive Board members, and between
them and the General Membership.

Information The Information Committee is responsible for
putting all the information pertaining to
the society activities into periodical newsletters,
professional brochures, fliers, programs or
other as requested by the Executive Board.

Hospitality The Hospitality Committee is responsible for
managing the hospitality activities for the
General Assembly meetings and for the annual
fundraising events.

Volunteering The Volunteering Committee is responsible
for managing and executing the charitable
and volunteer activities of the society.
